BEFORE YOU START
All documentation supplied with your application must be certified
and translated (in full) into English. What does this mean?
A certified copy is a copy of an original document that has been witnessed and declared as being a true copy by a person authorised to make such a declaration. Examples of such authorised people are Aviation Australia contracted Educational Agents, Judges, Solicitors, Notaries Public and Justices of the Peace (JP). Australian Embassy, Consulate officers, NAATI translators,or representatives of language testing organisations (such as IDP) may also be able to assist with certification of documents. If the authorised person does not have a stamp, they must write on the copy “I hereby declare that this copy is a true and correct copy of the original document” and they must sign their signature and print their name and title underneath the declaration.
If the document being certified is in a language other than English, an authorised translation must also be provided.
Documents that have been translated
must be accompanied by the source original.
Translation services can be provided by NAATI certified translators, Justices of the Peace, and Notaries Public. Aviation Australia
will not accept any document that has not been translated or stamped by a certified translator.
If your supporting documents are not certified, translated or in the correct format, your application will not be processed.
