Additional Assessment Requirements:
In addition to being required to submit your application with the assistance of a registered partner, if your country of citizenship appears on the
Country List,
additional evidence may be required to assess your application.
Similarly, if you have previously been an Aviation Australia enrolled student, we may request additional information to support your re-application.
Additional evidence may include, but is not limited to:
participation in a student interview;
additional assessments or testing (additional costs may apply, depending on course selection);
evidence of academic redemption (in cases where a previous enrolment has been withdrawn);
financial capacity evidence.
You will be advised if additional assessment requirements are needed to complete your application, however, applicants are encouraged to review the Department of Home Affairs'
Document Checklist Tool to determine what documentation might be required to support your enrolment and student visa applications.
The Department's requirements may be above and beyond what is required to support your application for enrolment at Aviation Australia. Due to the potential for visa processing delays, it is recommended that you are aware of, and have appropriately prepared, the documentation for your student visa application as early as possible. English Language Proficiency:
The minimum requirement is an Academic IELTS with 6.0
overall and with no sub band score
less than 5.5. Testing must have been completed within 2 years from the enrolment application date.
Aviation Australia accepts the following
English Language Tests or Approved International Education Achievement Levels.
Aviation Australia
do not accept IELTS General Training test results, or any testing completed online or at-home. For more information on English Language Requirements for a Student Visa refer to the Department of Home Affairs'
website.
If your country is not on the list, you must supply an Academic IELTS or an equivalent test (from the approved list). Please contact us
prior to submitting your application to discuss your eligibility if you are unsure.
We recommend submitting your evidence of English language with your application for enrolment, partiularly if you are applying close to the application close date.
Academic Suitability:
Applicants must supply academic evidence of completion of Year 12, or an approved equivalent, with a pass in Mathematics (at minimum Year 10, or equivalent).
Where an applicant does not meet these requirements, Aviation Australia may consider sufficient relevant work experience (documented via a resume and referees) and/or a successfully completed higher level qualification that demonstrates academic suitability.
Your resume should list
all educational and employment history in reverse-chronological order (most recent to least recent).
Aviation Australia accepts the following
International Education Achievement Levels as being equivalent to a Year 12 qualification in Queensland, Australia.

Genuine Student (GS) Assessment:
Applicants must complete the Genuine Student questionnaire within this application form in order to be considered for enrolment.
Before you complete your application you should ensure you have researched your intended course/s of study and the rights and responsibilities of a student visa holder in Australia. You will be asked to explain why you have made this course and provider selection and y
our responses should indicate your understanding of the requirements of the intended course, its relevance to past or proposed employment or further study, and how it will improve your employment prospects post-completion.
International Students are also required to show evidence that they meet the Department of Home Affairs’
Genuine Student requirement when applying for a student visa.
Minimum of 17 years of age:
Applicants under the age of 18 may be accepted where it is demonstrated that approved welfare arrangements will be maintained whilst the student is under the age of 18. This arrangement requires the approval of the Department of Home Affairs.
If you are under 18, a parent or
legal guardian must co-sign this application form. An education agent cannot co-sign in place of a parent or legal guardian.

Current Valid Passport:
The applicant’s passport must be current and valid for international travel for at least
six (6) months from the date of commencement of your selected intake.
Unless advised otherwise, Aviation Australia will not require you to supply any other identity documents, such as a birth certificate, National ID, or foreign driver's license.
